A self-love letter, from your favorite Northern California boudoir photographer.
When was the last time you looked in the mirror and didn’t immediately start scanning for flaws?
Most of us don’t even realize we’re doing it.
We look for the wrinkle. The extra curve. The stretch mark.
We critique before we connect.
We shrink before we celebrate.
But here’s the truth:
There is absolutely nothing wrong with you — except the belief that something is.
Your thoughts become your mirror.

So often, my clients walk into my studio afraid of what the camera will show.
Not because they aren’t beautiful — they are.
But because they’re already convinced they won’t like what they see. They’re already bracing for disappointment.
And when you expect to see “bad,” you go looking for it.
Your brain becomes a magnifying glass for everything you’ve been told is unlovable.
You’ll squint at your smile. Pick apart your pose. Zoom in on a softness you think shouldn’t be there. Look closely for that thing you don’t like that you are determined that everyone sees.
But what if the only thing standing in the way of your beauty…
is the belief that it has to look a certain way?

What you believe, you will see.
This isn’t just woo. This is how your mind works.
This is quantum physics. This is science. This has been proven over and over again.
Our thoughts shape our focus. Our focus shapes our experience.
If you believe you’re not enough, your brain will hunt for evidence to prove it.
If you believe you’re too much, you’ll shrink and apologize for your power.
But here’s the good news — you can choose a new belief.
You can choose to believe you’re worthy now.
Beautiful now.
Deserving now.
And when you start to look through that lens?
You’ll start seeing a new reflection — not just in photos, but in your relationships, your confidence, your joy.

Self-love isn’t a feeling. It’s a decision.
It’s choosing to meet your reflection with curiosity instead of criticism.
It’s showing up for a boudoir session even when you’re nervous, because something inside you is ready to be seen.
It’s holding a printed photo of yourself — raw, real, radiant — and whispering: she’s beautiful. She’s me.
The world reflects how we see ourselves.
So what if, just for today, you told yourself:
There’s nothing wrong with me.
There never was.
I’ve always been enough.
Because when that becomes your truth — it becomes your reality.

Want help stepping into that version of you?
Let’s capture her. Celebrate her. Reflect her back to you in the most empowering way possible.
Book your boudoir session with me, and let’s rewrite the story together.
